In 1946 Maxwell (Max) Bush founded Bush Furniture at 235 Victoria Street in Tweed, Ontario. The store began as a Furniture Store, Funeral Home as well as offering Ambulance and Florist services in the beginning.

The original location doubled in size in 1985 when the adjoining sports store closed and the building was acquired for some additional and much needed floor space.

The Madoc location was opened in a small plaza in 1990. After 10 years in Madoc we had outgrown that location so we acquired the Pigden Property and after a major renovation the 10,000 square foot beautiful showroom was opened in 2000.

Now 68 years in business and into the third generation of the Bush family, Bush Furniture`s core values remain deep rooted in our communities! It is our mission to be the best home fashion store in the area, here at bush Furniture we values your business and know how to look after our customers both before and after the sale, after all it is their goal to build relationships with their customers that last a lifetime. Our business is enduring because of our loyal customer base and our dedicated employees.

We belong to a furniture buying group which allows independent furniture retailers to pool their resources in an effort to meet and exceed the buying power of the big box competitors. Being a independent retailer also allows us to carefully select companies from which we purchase. At Bush Furniture we look for solid companies (Canadian whenever possible) that consistently deliver quality products, stand behind their products and value their good name as much as we value ours.
